What We’re Doing
KPC Buddhist Relief is raising $10,000 from our community to unlock a $10,000 matching gift — generating $20,000 total. This supports direct food deliveries to families, plus fresh produce, proteins, cultural staples, and seasonings supplied to food pantries and providers across the region.
Who It Serves
Families across our community who are struggling to put food on the table — those new to hardship who find it hard to ask, single-income households stretched thin, immigrants who face barriers to traditional programs, and anyone for whom the standard paths to food assistance simply aren’t accessible. We also supply food pantries and distribution partners in Germantown, Poolesville, and Silver Spring, MD; Washington, DC; and Bowie and Laurel, MD with items their clients need that standard food bank donations don’t cover.
Why The Match Matters
Every dollar donated is instantly doubled. A $25 gift becomes $50. A $100 gift becomes $200. The match is real, and it only works if we raise our side first.
