Warm Food Delivery! ❤️

More people coming off the streets yesterday were fed delicious soup and given healthy protein-filled snack packs! 

Claire and Yeshe provided a hearty beef, potato and vegetable soup and Noreen made a filling vegetarian dal/lentil soup. The car smelled delicious!

We couldn’t reach our main contact at EveryMind, but we decided to gather everything and go there anyway and see who else we could connect with at the warming center at the Department of Health and Human Services on Piccard Drive. Despite the door being locked and a sign saying that they were closed, as we were walking away a security guard came and opened the door. When we told him why we were there, he let us in.

We connected with a woman named Veronica who helps run the warming center and we were able to actually dish out the servings of soup right there as homeless people were coming in milling around the food line. Someone in line immediately took a snack pack too. They said that the temporary facility would be up till at least Tuesday, but it looks like we have more snow in the forecast now so who knows? it might continue!

Thank you for teaching us the tenacity to just go out and do it, Jetsunma! So many people got a warm and healthy meal because of your love and concern. Eh Ma Ho! 🙏
