Riverworks Art Center & Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences, in collaboration with Poolesville High School, John Poole Middle School & Wootton High School present: Empty Bowls: Sunday March 22, 4:30-6:30pm at Locals Farm Market

Empty Bowls is a global grassroots movement that brings potters, students and community together to raise awareness and proceeds for local food-related charities. Each guest picks a handmade bowl to take home and enjoys a variety of delicious soups and bread! Students from Barnesville School, Poolesville High School, John Poole Middle School, and Wootton High School, as well as Dusty Road Pottery, Sugarland Studios, and many other local artisans, have created beautiful bowls that they have generously donated to this cause.

$20 ticket:  includes a student-made bowl, homemade soup & freshly baked bread

$10 ticket: ***available for students and artists who made or donated a bowl, and just wish to purchase soup and bread without purchasing a bowl***

Free admission for children 3 and under.

All proceeds raised will go to the Backpack Bites program, which feeds food insecure students in Poolesville and the Ag Reserve. The Backpack Bites program is sponsored by Poolesville Presbyterian Church/Poolesville Little Free Pantry, KPC Buddhist Relief and WUMCO. If enough money is raised for a whole school year of Backpack Bites, remaining proceeds will go to the Summer Lunch Program run by WUMCO, so that students are fed all year round!
