We are all interconnected.

This week our team delivered 1175 lbs of fresh produce and 100 lbs of dry goods to Shepherd's Table. In addition to onions, potatoes, green peppers and broccoli, we provided the chefs' special requests of mushrooms, asparagus and pears.

A few of Chef Christina‘s new culinary students came to help unload the van and their eyes widened when they saw the 100 lb bags of large carrots. They said the amount of produce being offered was fantastic!

Chef Christina has started a new program teaching people culinary skills, free of charge, to prepare them for internships and entering into the restaurant business. She said helping with the unloading and seeing who’s delivering is part of the training. They benefit from Buddhist Relief’s donation by learning to cook with fresh ingredients and nourish others through their skills.

We are all interconnected. Let’s all move to action and help others help themselves.
