Jetsunma guides us in being diligent and consistent ...

The past two Mondays, volunteeers delivered over 475 lbs of beautiful produce to Shepherd’s Table. We also offered over 100 lbs of dry goods.

Shepherd’s Table has been more alive and energetic with the warm weather, as guests enjoy the sun outside after lunch. Rudy, Mohamed (Security), Anne K, and Rob (Security) helped unload the van, and we met their newest assistant chef, Rabihah. She was part of the second cohort of chef classes taught by Chef Gary at Shepherd’s Table and is proudly their only new female assistant from this group. She’s having a wonderful time cooking and was happy to hear from Rob that she’ll see us every Monday bringing our wonderful produce.

After we finished unloading, Rob talked about how appreciative Shepherd’s Table is for everything KPC Buddhist Relief does for them. He said the chefs love the fresh produce we provide and rely on the basics we bring as well—items they truly need, like condiments, spices, hot sauce, dressings, and coffee & creamers—all the essentials that keep their pantry stocked weekly.

He also shared that the Shepherd’s Table staff is diligently working to raise funds so they can continue feeding their guests seven days a week. They absolutely count on KPC Buddhist Relief to provide fresh produce to help make that possible.

In these times of uncertainty, Jetsunma guides us to be diligent and consistent so that our partners know they can always count on us for the food we provide.

We are so grateful to all those who donate. Now is the time to reach out and make a difference in other people’s lives. Please help us help them.
