3,145 Pounds of Food for the Upcounty Hub!
In February, KPC Buddhist Relief donated 3,145 pounds of food staples—about the weight of a mid-sized sedan!—to help restock the Upcounty Hub’s Choice Pantry, which serves over 200 households (about 1,000 individuals) each month.
Between February 5 and February 14, four deliveries were made, ensuring families had access to essential pantry items. We focused on high-demand foods, including strawberry jam, cereals, salad dressings, mustard, honey, ketchup, pickles, mayonnaise, green tea, pasta sauces, sugar, vegetable oil, hot sauce, cookies, and lentils.
We are most grateful to all who donate funds to ensure that our neighbors in need are cared for.
Buddhist Relief continues to provide fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables to the Hub whenever needed, ensuring that families receive generous amounts every Friday morning. In January alone, we delivered over 2,000 pounds of produce to support our neighbors in Germantown, Montgomery Village, and the Boyds, Clarksburg, and Poolesville areas.
