Looking Back on a Season of Giving....

As we move forward into the New Year, we’re reflecting on the generosity and kindness that made the holiday season so special. On one of our December deliveries, KPC Buddhist Relief brought an abundance of produce, dry goods, and clothing to Shepherd’s Table — helping to provide warm meals and essential supplies during the colder months.

Our delivery included fresh lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, green peppers, grits, butter, coffee, sugar, creamer, stevia, hot sauce, and salad dressings. After unloading the van, a couple of student chefs came out to help wheel the full blue bins to the kitchen, commenting on the freshness of the produce. It was great to hear from Chef Gary and the students how KPC Buddhist Relief’s weekly deliveries provide opportunities for preparing their wonderful, nutritious meals.

As we finished the food delivery, Tinsae (Director of Social Services) and Edwin (Social Services Assistant) happily collected the bags of clothing we provided. Thanks to the generosity of Jetsunma, KPC community members, and friends, we were able to donate 134 items of clothing, including socks, underwear, beanies, neck warmers, women’s coats, jackets, tops, and men’s coats. They expressed their deep appreciation, thanking KPC Buddhist Relief for always being there for them.

Jetsunma teaches that where there is need, we must give. That need continues every day, beyond the holiday season. Please consider donating to KPC Buddhist Relief— because kindness is always in season. ❤️
