Yep, that’s for you!
Today volunteers went to Shepherd’s Table and delivered 580 pounds of fresh produce and dry goods. Produce included broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots, cabbage and onions. Dry goods provided were coffee, creamer, stevia, sugar, hot sauce, salad dressings, waffles, ketchup, spices and much needed utility towels for the kitchen.
Rudy unloaded the van with help from Kenny as a couple of folks glanced in to see the produce, asking if that was for them. We said "Yep’, that’s for you," and we were greeted with a warm "thank you."
We also met Nicole, a brand new chef at Shepherd’s Table. She came out and helped us fill our blue bins and then realized we were the ones Chef Christina and Chef Daniel talked about always coming on Mondays. She beamed at all the fresh produce and said, “I’ll remember you next time!”.
