One person, one meal, one life at a time: Shepherd's Table Delivery
Due to an impending snow storm, volunteers made our Shepherd’s Table delivery a day early, Sunday 1/5/25, so that we were sure to get our produce and dry goods to Shepherd’s Table.
We delivered 528 lbs of produce and dry goods including broccoli, zucchini, potatoes, cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots and cabbage; and sugar, butter, coffee, stevia, hot sauce, salad dressings, waffles and spices.
Kenny offered to help our volunteer Rudy unload the van. He is always quick to lend a hand, enjoys seeing the food we bring in and loves to share the progress he’s making. Kenny’s been a resident of Progress Place (the shelter connected to Shepherd's Table) and practically a fixture at Shepherd’s Table for a long time. He now has a job with the city that includes shoveling snow and clearing rooftops and doing whatever they direct him to do. He was saying he’s waiting for the call tonight to come plow and shovel snow. It’s wonderful to see the pride, self respect, and self-sufficiency that Kenny is radiating as a result of the support of Shepherd’s Table and being a recipient of all the wonderful food that KPC Buddhist Relief has offered.
KPC Buddhist Relief, under Jetsunma’s guidance, makes a difference in the lives of so many - one person, one meal and one life at a time.
Please join KPC Buddhist Relief if you’re new (or familiar) by making a donation and making a difference EVERY DAY.
