A Miracle in Timing
On a recent Saturday, Anne K. and Dara of KPC Buddhist Relief met Jean Pierre and Mama to collect three freezers — a generous offering from our founder, Jetsunma Ahkön Lhamo — and deliver them to Mama Mona, a community organizer connected through Mariama Sy, a volunteer coordinator who leads the West African refugee community KPC Buddhist Relief serves.
Clothes delivered to staging post at Claire S's today
This week, our team sorted and prepared 440 new winter clothing items—cozy sweat sets, pullover hoodies, and zip-up sweatshirts—to help those in need during this freezing weather. These warm essentials were joyfully received by the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless and the West African Refugee community we partner with, bringing comfort to families in need across the county.
African Refugees Delivery: The joy of giving love and hope.
JOY! This is the word that came after the African Refugee delivery on Saturday 7.13.24.
Our three day process allowed several people the opportunity to shop, pack, organize, weigh, clean, schedule, take photos …. we gave in so many ways to our lovely partners, the African immigrants and refugees.
We Care, We Love…
We had another big delivery to the African refugee group this past weekend! In preparation, 60 bags for distribution were shopped, organized and packed…
Warmth for all
KPC Buddhist Relief has been busy this week! We have provided large amounts of winter clothing items for all ages and warm blankets to those in need.
