What's for Dinner at Miriam's Kitchen?
On two Fridays in November, the 8th and the 22nd, Rudy, Ariana, and Yekta delivered beautiful loads of fresh produce to Miriam's Kitchen. The produce included cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, oranges, cucumbers, parsley, cilantro, green onions, red onions, leeks, and baby bella mushrooms.

On Friday, November 15, Buddhist Relief delivered a little over 500 pounds of food to the First Baptist Church of Silver Spring.
Nothing goes to waste... Shepherd's Table delivery
On November 11th, we offered Shepherd’s Table 585 pounds of produce and dry goods, including potatoes, sweet potatoes, broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower, cabbage, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, and carrots.

Allowing all to thrive…Shepherd’s Table delivery
On our October 28 delivery to Shepherd’s Table, Yekta, Rudy, and Anne K. brought 698 pounds of fresh produce and dry goods. Our produce included onions, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, and zucchini.
Good Hearts at Miriam's Kitchen
On Friday October 25, Rudy, Yekta, and Ariana delivered 205 pounds of produce to Miriam's Kitchen, along with 35 pounds of rice, 42 pounds of creamer, two large containers of Gochujang red chili paste (2.2 lbs each), and 3.3 pounds of miso. The produce included cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, lemons, avocados, oranges, cucumbers, parsley, red onions, green onions, leeks, baby bella mushrooms, and guajillo peppers.
Bounty & Soul Delivery Update
As temperatures plummet this week in Western North Carolina, Buddhist Relief was able to make a critical delivery of 150 new warm jackets and over 70 new blankets for distribution.

Although Hispanic Heritage Month wrapped up in October, we believe celebrating culture and community is important every day. Our volunteer Rudy shared this heartfelt message about how Buddhist Relief takes the time to truly understand and support our neighbors. 💛

Recently, Rudy, Yekta, and Anne K made a delivery to Shepherd’s Table, which included 593 lbs of produce and dry goods such as cabbage, zucchini, cauliflower, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, oranges, BBQ seasoning, Montreal chicken seasoning, pancake syrup, salsa, and shredded cheddar…
Good that provides a sense of normalcy and self worth….
For this specific delivery, Chef Cheryl requested an assortment of mushrooms for their vegetarian meals, including baby bella, oyster, and lion's mane mushrooms. Rudy, one of our volunteers, was able to forage 2 lbs of fresh lion's mane mushrooms, and we completed the order with 3 more lbs from MOM’s Organic Market.
